The 2nd New Zealand 2009 Newsletter and booking forms have now been emailed out to members.
Downloadable PDF as well as Online Booking Forms are available in the Crew Members Area.
There is now a photo gallery accessible via the members area. Some photos have started coming in.
There is now also a Gallery of Decker Bus Photos viewable here TopDeck's Gallery
Crew may view and upload photos to Crew Reunions as well as Ex Passenger Photos.
Ex Passengers may view and upload trip/tour photos
One attendee still has his memory despite his age and the alcohol. You can read his report in History of Reunions.
The first info sheet the Reunion in NZ in 2009 is now avaiable via the members area.
View a slide show of photos on Youtube of the old Deckers put together by Trevor Carroll and
also Darcy O'Donnell has an excellent "journal" of some of his overland experiences.
www.topdeckreunion.com is primarily a website for ex Top Deck Crew Members but after a lot of requests from passengers who had stumbled upon it, there is finally an ex-passengers database. Passengers are able to view each others details but can not view the crew's details.
Membership is now over 712 up from 523 at 2002 Reunion.
251 ex passengers have now joined.
It is apparent that a number of members had old addresses in the database and had their crew newsletter returned as
"Return to Sender".
More Trip Stories are getting added each week so don't be afraid to add your own.
Even if you don't actually have a story simply record your trip (eg
driver/courier/cook on bus whatever with approximate start date) This will help
piece together a complete history of each bus and/or trip.
And for the record I'm not going to write a book - its all history that
should and can be recorded easily through the website.
This website is privately maintained & owned by Lew Cody. I have no connection to the current Reunion Committee other than publishing downloadable versions of the newsletters
and maintaining the site to record member records. All written information
remains the property of the individual authors where indicated any remaining
written information remains the property of the website owner. All photos remain
the property of those who have contributed them - whoever they may be. Any
reproduction of the material within the website requires the written permission
of the respective owners as indicated above. This site is self funding
mainly through advertising,
although due to the effort and the mailout cost savings (approx $750/yr) brought
about by using the website database to email
direct from the website, the Reunion
Committee pays me a database maintenance & hosting fee of $0.55( inc GST)
per crew member per year. Any questions re anything
about the Reunion should be directed to the
current committee. above. Having problems with this webpage contact
